Løgumkloster has for many hundreds of years been home to monks who have walked their daily walk at the monastery, which today is open to tourists.
As in other cities, Løgumkloster's impressive Cistercian church is located in the middle of the city. The church was built between 1225 and 1325 partly in the Gothic of brick, a building style with large bricks, which is considered the cultural heritage of the world. Løgumkloster has great religious and spiritual significance through church educations, the carillon education, the refuge and folk high school. With Brede Åen and Denmark's largest piece of untouched primeval forest, "Draved Skov", Løgumkloster offers many beautiful nature experiences on foot, canoe or bicycle. Other activities in the city are "The old Cinema", the Holmen Museum with changing exhibitions and a sports center with an outdoor swimming pool. Throughout the summer, tires are kicked in the city, lovers of old cars and vehicles meet every Wednesday night and show off their treasures. The shops are open, eateries offer beer, sausages and other goodies.
