How winter is on the southwest coast of Southern Jutland

Winter does not only mean strong winds, high water levels and the occasional stormy nights.

In fact, winter is much more, because when the dew turns to frost and the day's first touch of sun hits the horizon, then nature is beautiful in a very special and landmark way, which to that extent can put beautiful memories on a holiday in Southwestern South Jutland.

Things to do in autumn: Black Sun trip (watching large crowds of starlings), collecting Wadden Sea oysters or visiting the events, that will happen which happens in the winter.

Inspiration for winter experience

Even though the winter is cold, nature is beautiful in its own way. We therefore recommend taking a ride in the car and driving along the west coast all the way from Rudbøl and all the way to Romo, where you can experience the Wadden Sea National Park from its very best side. Here you can, among other things, stop at one of the many sights located along the Wadden Sea coast.

Selected highlights of the winter season

Practical information

Rømø is probably an island in the Wadden Sea, but you do not have to worry about either ferries or anything else.
There is one 9 km long dam, which connects Rømø with the mainland. If, on the other hand, you want to go to the German island of Herring, you have to go the ferry from Rømø.
