Experiences in the days leading up to the Tønder Festival

4+ takes place on 23 + 24 + 25 August this year and is organized so that festival goers and local citizens have the opportunity to discover and experience the many good stories and sights of Tønder in the days leading up to the Tønder Festival.

4+ consists of a number of eventful holistic experiences and offers a lot of events, focusing on nature, history, food, culture and togetherness.

4+ will gather and strengthen the entire municipality of Tønder

With 4+ we try to create an interaction between all the good forces, traditions, projects and ideas in the Tønder area, in close cooperation between local and regional players.

Tønder Municipality has a unique and beautiful nature, a fantastic cultural landscape, a very special story and good promoters. Add to this the rich selection of artisans, food manufacturers, special architectures, museums, retail and much more.

The vision for 4+ is therefore to strengthen the entire municipality of Tønder - through local drivers, initiatives and resources - with the aim of creating one narrative and one identity for the municipality of Tønder.

Through 4+, the entire municipality of Tønder is being marketed to the festival's guests, so hopefully they will return to the area - also outside the festival season.

The concept behind 4+

In recent years, many of Tønder Festival's guests have booked in for the weekend before the festival starts.

In this connection, the project 4+ was established so that festival goers could extend their stay in the municipality of Tønder in the days leading up to the festival itself and in this way there was something to experience for those who had traveled to the area even before the festival started.
